About Us

Friends of Fish Slough is a grassroots, member-driven organization operating as a project of the Eastern Sierra Broadband, which is a chapter of the Great Old Broads for Wilderness (aka “Broads”).

Great Old Broads for Wilderness is a women-led national grassroots organization that engages and inspiers activism to preserve and protect wilderness and wild lands. Conceived by older women who love wilderness, Broads gives voice to the millions of Americans who want to protect their public lands and wilderness for this and future generations. We bring knowledge, leadership, and humor to the wilderness preservation movement. And, we’re educating communities about the critical connection between healthy public lands and climate change mitigation.

We encourage great old “Brohs” to join, too.
